About this product
Age Checker 1.3.3 puts an age gate in front of your WordPress pages. Visitors get a full-screen popup when a page loads, and they reach the content only after they confirm they are old enough. It is made for sites that sell or show age-restricted material, such as alcohol shops, gambling sites and adult sites, and you can gate the whole site or only the pages, posts, categories or post types that need it.
What's in the Age Checker download
Our download is the original Age Checker ZIP for version 1.3.3, with the license key already activated. It is one standalone plugin: the verification screen, the settings editor with its live preview and the restriction options all come with it. The developer's own site lists no add-ons for Age Checker, so there is nothing separate to add on top of this file.
Good to know
The developer lists WordPress 5.0 through 6.6 as compatible and names no PHP version. The plugin needs both PHP and JavaScript running inside WordPress. Set the plugin to active (Yes) in its settings or the popup will not show. To gate a single page, choose the selection-only option under Restricted Sections, otherwise the popup appears on every page. A page you send underage visitors to with the exit button must be excluded from the check.
How to install Age Checker
- Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.

- When the install finishes, click the Activate Plugin link to switch the plugin on.
- Open the Age Checker settings in the dashboard, set the plugin to active (Yes) and choose your verification method and background.
- Under Restricted Sections, choose the whole site or only the pages, posts, categories or post types that need the gate.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the original file?
Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.
Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?
