About this product

Admin Menu Editor Pro Branding Add-on 1.3.13 is an add-on for Admin Menu Editor Pro that puts your own brand on the WordPress dashboard. It suits agencies and freelancers who hand finished sites to clients and want the admin area to carry the client's or the agency's name instead of the stock WordPress look. It also helps on company, school or membership sites where staff log in every day and should see your logo, not someone else's. You set it up once in the Pro plugin's own screen.

What's in the Admin Menu Editor Pro Branding Add-on download

Our download is the original Admin Menu Editor Pro Branding Add-on ZIP for version 1.3.13, with the license key already activated. It contains the add-on only. Admin Menu Editor Pro, the plugin it extends, is a separate product and is not in this file. The Toolbar Editor add-on, which edits the admin bar, is a separate add-on too and is not included.

Good to know

The add-on needs Admin Menu Editor Pro 2.6.3 or later and WordPress 4.9 or later. The free Admin Menu Editor from the plugin directory is not enough, because the add-on builds on the Pro plugin, so install and activate Pro first. There is no separate menu for the add-on: its options appear as extra tabs called Branding, Login and Colors inside Settings, Menu Editor Pro.

How to install Admin Menu Editor Pro Branding Add-on

  1. Make sure Admin Menu Editor Pro is installed and active under Plugins, Installed Plugins, because the add-on only works on top of it.
  2. Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
  3. In your dashboard go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the Branding add-on ZIP and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate Plugin and check that the add-on now appears in your plugin list next to Admin Menu Editor Pro.
  5. Open Settings, Menu Editor Pro and use the new Branding, Login and Colors tabs to set your logo, login page and color scheme.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original file?

Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.

Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?

Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.

How do I install it?

Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.

How do updates work?

When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.

What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?

Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
