About this product
Advanced Ads Google Ad Manager 3.0.0 is the add-on that connects the free Advanced Ads plugin to your Google Ad Manager account, including Ad Manager 360. It is made for publishers, news sites and magazines that already sell or fill inventory through Ad Manager and no longer want to paste GPT head and body tags into the theme by hand. You choose an ad unit from your account inside WordPress, the add-on writes the code, and the ad then goes into any Advanced Ads placement like every other ad.
What's in the Advanced Ads Google Ad Manager download
Our download is the original Advanced Ads Google Ad Manager Integration ZIP for version 3.0.0, with the license key already activated. It holds this one add-on. The free Advanced Ads plugin is not in the file; you install it from the WordPress plugin screen. Advanced Ads Pro, Tracking, Sticky Ads and the other add-ons are separate products, and the Ad Manager account itself is yours to set up with Google.
Good to know
The file needs WordPress 5.7 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer and the free Advanced Ads plugin. Before you connect, turn on API access in Ad Manager under Admin, Global Settings, Network Settings, General Settings: fill in Display name, switch on API access and click Save, which sits near the bottom of the page and is easy to miss. The API can take a few minutes to answer, and only activated ad units appear in the plugin's list.
How to install Advanced Ads Google Ad Manager
- Install and activate the free Advanced Ads plugin under Plugins, Add New Plugin, because this add-on needs the core ad plugin first.
- Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin and choose the add-on ZIP you just downloaded.
- Click Install Now, then Activate, and keep the free Advanced Ads plugin active next to it.
- Open Advanced Ads, Settings, Google Ad Manager and click Connect account, then pick the Google account that holds your Ad Manager network.
Features & capabilities
- A Google Ad Manager ad type that loads each unit with inline tags, so no head code goes into the theme.
- Your ad units are listed after connecting; large accounts add units through a search field.
- Update and delete buttons refresh a unit's sizes or drop it from the list without changing Ad Manager.
- An Ad Sizes table maps sizes to minimum screen widths for responsive units.
- A filter skips sizes wider than the ad's container, and you can add or reset custom sizes.
- Key-value targeting sends post type, page type, slug, placement ID, terms, post meta or user meta per unit.
- Unit data is stored with each ad, so ads keep running if you switch or disconnect the account.
- Works with Advanced Ads placements, automatic content injection, display and visitor conditions, and cache busting.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the original file?
Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.
Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?
Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.
How do I install it?
Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.
How do updates work?
When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.
Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.
What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?
Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
