About this product

Advanced Ads Sticky Ads 2.0.8 is the paid add-on that keeps an ad in view while visitors scroll, as a bar fixed to the top or bottom of the window or a banner beside your content. It's for publishers whose header and sidebar ads disappear after the first screen: magazines, recipe blogs and forums with long pages, where readers scroll far past a static banner. You choose a sticky placement, attach an ad, and it stays put.

What's in the Advanced Ads Sticky Ads download

Our download is the original Advanced Ads Sticky Ads ZIP for version 2.0.8, with the license key already activated. It adds the sticky placements to the free Advanced Ads plugin, which you install on its own. Custom code in placements and the option that pushes page content down for a bar need Advanced Ads Pro, as does the Browser Width condition; none of these is in this file.

Good to know

The header asks for WordPress 5.7 and PHP 7.4 or newer and lists the free Advanced Ads plugin as required. Give every sticky ad a width and height in its Ad Parameters box, or it can show up outside the page; for groups, set the size on the placements page. Ask your ad network first, because some treat sticky units as a breach of their terms. Sidebar positions need the right element selector and a parent container set to position relative.

How to install Advanced Ads Sticky Ads

  1. Install and activate the free Advanced Ads plugin first under Plugins, Add New Plugin; Sticky Ads only adds placements to that core plugin.
  2. Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
  3. In WordPress open Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin and select the Sticky Ads ZIP you just downloaded.
  4. Click Install Now, then Activate when WordPress shows the plugin was installed.
  5. Go to Advanced Ads, Placements, create a new placement, pick a sticky type such as Header Bar or Footer Bar, then assign your ad.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original file?

Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.

Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?

Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.

How do I install it?

Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.

How do updates work?

When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.

What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?

Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
