About this product
Advanced Gift Cards for WooCommerce 1.4.2 lets your store sell its own digital gift cards. It suits shops that get asked for gift cards before birthdays and holidays, and stores that want gift card sales to run through their own checkout instead of an outside service. A shopper buys a card, the code is emailed to them or to a friend, and the person who gets it redeems the value as store credit to spend in your shop. It is an add-on for the free Advanced Coupons plugin.
What's in the Advanced Gift Cards download
Our download is the original Advanced Gift Cards for WooCommerce ZIP for version 1.4.2, with the license key already activated. It contains the gift card plugin only. The free Advanced Coupons plugin, which supplies the store credit system, is not in this file and comes from the WordPress plugin screen. Advanced Coupons Premium and the Loyalty Program are separate plugins from the same developer and are not included.
Good to know
Install and activate the free Advanced Coupons plugin first, because gift card balances are paid out through its store credit feature. Our file asks for WordPress 5.8 or newer and WooCommerce 4.0 or newer. The redeemed value is added to a customer account, so whoever redeems a card needs one. Store credit can't be used to buy more gift cards, and cards expire five years after purchase unless you change the expiry on the product.
How to install Advanced Gift Cards
- With WooCommerce active, install and activate the free Advanced Coupons plugin under Plugins, Add New Plugin by searching for Advanced Coupons.
- Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
- In WordPress go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the gift cards ZIP and click Install Now.
- Click Activate, then add your first card under Products, Add New Product by choosing the Advanced Gift Card product type.
- Open Coupons, Advanced Gift Cards to reach the gift card dashboard and the Manage Gift Cards tab.

- Variable gift cards that sell several values, such as 25, 50 and 100, from one product through variations.
- Giftable option, so the buyer enters a recipient and the card is emailed to that person.

- Random unique codes, redeemed in the My Account Store Credits tab or under Redeem a gift card at checkout.
- Expiry set per product, five years by default, which you can shorten or lengthen.
- Dashboard with cards sold and claimed, gift card revenue, top gift card products and recent cards.
- Manage Gift Cards tab for creating a card by hand with its own code, status, expiry date and recipient.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the original file?
Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.
Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?
Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.
How do I install it?
Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.
How do updates work?
When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.
Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.
