About this product

AutomateWoo Refer A Friend 2.13.4 is the referral add-on for AutomateWoo, the marketing automation extension for WooCommerce stores. It turns happy customers into advocates who invite their friends to shop with you, and it rewards them once those friends actually place an order. It suits stores with loyal repeat buyers that would rather grow through word of mouth than through more ads. The whole program runs from your own WordPress admin, and advocates follow their referrals from their account on your site.

What's in the AutomateWoo Refer A Friend download

Our download is the original AutomateWoo Refer A Friend ZIP for version 2.13.4, with the license key already activated. The add-on brings the referral share page, the share widget, store credit rewards, fraud checks and referral reports. AutomateWoo itself is a separate product and is not in this file. WooCommerce Subscriptions is sold separately too, and you only need it to reward advocates with free subscription time or credit on renewals.

Good to know

The add-on needs WooCommerce and AutomateWoo installed and active. This release asks for WordPress 7.0 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer and WooCommerce 11.1 or newer. Keep WooCommerce coupons switched on, because referral rewards rely on them and the settings show a warning when they're off. Advocates must have an account and be signed in before they can share. On a multisite network, activate the add-on on each subsite instead of network wide, or it stops with an error.

How to install AutomateWoo Refer A Friend

  1. If your site doesn't run WooCommerce yet, install and activate it under Plugins, Add New Plugin, then install and activate AutomateWoo, which this add-on needs.
  2. Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
  3. In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. Check that coupons are on under WooCommerce, Settings, General, with Enable the use of coupon codes ticked.
  5. Go to AutomateWoo, Settings, Refer A Friend, pick the share type and rewards, then tick Enable referrals at the top and save.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original file?

Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.

Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?

Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.

How do I install it?

Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.

How do updates work?

When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.

What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?

Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
