About this product

Beaver Tunnels Addon 2.1.6 is an add-on for Beaver Builder that lets you place saved Beaver Builder templates outside the normal content area. It is made for site builders who already work with Beaver Builder and want a template to appear in a spot that a theme or plugin exposes through an action hook, for example on a WooCommerce shop page, and only on the pages you choose.

What's in the Beaver Tunnels Addon download

Our download is the original Beaver Tunnels Addon ZIP for version 2.1.6, with the license key already activated. This is the add-on only. Beaver Builder itself is a separate product that has to be on your site first. The developer lists Beaver Builder Theme, Genesis, GeneratePress, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads and GiveWP as supported, and describes a way to add support for other themes and plugins.

Good to know

The developer says Beaver Builder 1.7 or newer is required and that the free version from the WordPress plugin directory does not work with it. PHP 5.3 or newer is listed. Templates are edited under Builder, Templates, and the developer's docs point to Beaver Builder's own article for switching that admin panel on. Pick your action hook first: the Hook Guide in the admin bar shows where each one sits on the page.

How to install Beaver Tunnels Addon

  1. Install and activate Beaver Builder first. The free version from the WordPress plugin directory does not work with this add-on, so use a paid Beaver Builder plugin.
  2. Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
  3. In WordPress, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, click Upload Plugin and choose the Beaver Tunnels Addon ZIP from your computer.
  4. Click Install Now, then click Activate Plugin once the upload has finished.
  5. Open Settings, Page Builder and look for the Beaver Tunnels tab to find the add-on's options.
  6. Edit a saved template under Builder, Templates, choose the Action where it should appear, then set it to show globally or only under conditions.

Features & capabilities

  • Injects saved Beaver Builder templates into the action hooks of supported themes and plugins.
  • A display conditions metabox on the template screen limits a template to chosen pages or shows it everywhere.
  • Conditions include post type, Parent Page, page type (404, search results, front page, blog page), term archives, author, date and time, and day of the week.
  • A Visual Hook Guide on the front end of your site shows where each action hook is located.
  • In Page Builder mode, hovering over an embedded template shows its name, and a click opens it for editing, then returns you to the original page.
  • A minimal template editor view shows only the template you are editing.
  • A wrapper shortcode lets other shortcodes, such as an ACF field, read the post and query of the page they appear on.
  • Multisite support and white label settings that follow Beaver Builder's Agency version.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original file?

Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.

Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?

Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.

How do I install it?

Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.

How do updates work?

When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.

What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?

Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
