About this product

Borlabs Cache 1.6.3 is a caching plugin for WordPress. It is made for site owners whose pages load slowly because WordPress builds each one again on every visit: blogs, business sites, WooCommerce shops, multilingual sites and Multisite networks. It supports Apache and NGINX servers and is controlled from its own menu in the WordPress dashboard, with presets to start from.

What's in the Borlabs Cache download

Our download is the original Borlabs Cache ZIP for version 1.6.3, with the license key already activated. It is the caching plugin only, with its own Dashboard, cache exceptions and a View Cache screen that lists every cached page with its status. The developer's cookie consent plugin is a separate product and is not part of this file.

Good to know

The developer's product page lists WordPress 4.6 or newer and PHP 5.6 or newer. A page is only added to the cache when the visitor is not logged in to WordPress, so check your site in a private browser window, not as an admin. After you save settings, click Apply changes and refresh cache, because saved changes only take effect once applied. For a shop, the E-commerce preset keeps the cart and checkout out of the cache.

How to install Borlabs Cache

  1. Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
  2. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, click Upload Plugin and choose the ZIP.
  3. Click Install Now and, when WordPress has unpacked the plugin, click Activate Plugin.
  4. Open Borlabs Cache, Dashboard in the left menu, tick Activate Borlabs Cache and leave Cache Presets on Default.
  5. Click Apply changes and refresh cache, then open your site in a private browser window. If something looks broken, try the Test CSS or Test JS preset.

  • Merging and compression of JavaScript and CSS files.
  • Removal of whitespace and HTML comments, plus optimized embedding of Google Fonts.
  • Execution of PHP code or dynamic content inside cached pages, for banners or a shopping cart.

  • Works with WooCommerce, WPML and qTranslate, and with Multisite using per-site cache settings.
  • CDN support, including KeyCDN and Cloudflare.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original file?

Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.

Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?

Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.

How do I install it?

Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.

How do updates work?

When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.

What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?

Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
