About this product
Events Calendar Pro 7.8.3 is the paid add-on for the free The Events Calendar plugin. It suits WordPress sites that publish a steady stream of dated events: venues and theatres, churches, gyms and studios with weekly classes, schools, libraries and community groups with regular meetups. It earns its place when entering the same class every Tuesday by hand gets old, or when visitors want more ways to browse your program than a month grid and a plain list.
What's in the Events Calendar Pro download
Our download is the original Events Calendar Pro ZIP for version 7.8.3, with the license key already activated. It is the Pro add-on on its own: the free The Events Calendar core comes from the WordPress plugin directory. Filter Bar, which can turn your Additional Fields into front end filters, is a separate product, and so is the Event Tickets plugin for ticketing.
Good to know
Pro runs on top of the free The Events Calendar plugin, which has to be installed and active first. The developer asks for PHP 7.4 or newer, and the free core's current listing asks for WordPress 6.9 or newer. Map View shows only one venue and location search stays off until you add your own Google Maps API key under Events, Settings, Integrations, with the Geocoding, Maps JavaScript and Maps Embed APIs enabled. Recurring events with no end date are created up to five years ahead, and standard tickets can't be attached to a recurring event.
How to install Events Calendar Pro
- Install and activate the free The Events Calendar plugin under Plugins, Add New Plugin, because Pro runs on top of it.
- Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
- In your dashboard go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin and choose the Events Calendar Pro ZIP.
- Click Install Now and, once the upload finishes, click Activate Plugin.
- Open Events, Settings for the calendar options; custom fields are on the Additional Fields tab and the Google Maps key goes on the Integrations tab.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the original file?
Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.
Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?
Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.
How do I install it?
Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.
How do updates work?
When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.
Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.
What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?
Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
