About this product

SearchWP WooCommerce Integration 1.4.1 is the extension that lets the SearchWP plugin handle WooCommerce product searches. WooCommerce shows product search results on its own shop archive template, and this plugin is the bridge that puts SearchWP's results there while the shop's filters keep working. It is for stores that already run SearchWP, or plan to, and want shoppers who type a SKU, a color or a custom field value to find the right product instead of an empty results page.

What's in the SearchWP WooCommerce Integration download

Our download is the original SearchWP WooCommerce Integration ZIP for version 1.4.1, with the license key already activated. It is a standalone plugin that runs next to SearchWP rather than inside it. The SearchWP core plugin is sold separately and is not part of this file. Live product results while a visitor types and related product suggestions come from other SearchWP extensions, so they are not in this file either.

Good to know

This is an add-on for the paid SearchWP plugin, and it needs WooCommerce installed and active. Run SearchWP 4, because version 1.4.0 dropped support for SearchWP 3 and for outdated WooCommerce versions; the developer names no minimum WooCommerce number. WordPress should be within one minor release of the current one. The extension only matters for product searches whose results address carries post_type=product. Product variations are stored apart from their products, so index their data with the parent product as the developer's knowledge base explains.

How to install SearchWP WooCommerce Integration

  1. If your site doesn't run WooCommerce yet, install and activate it under Plugins, Add New Plugin.
  2. Install and activate the SearchWP plugin, then work through its onboarding wizard to set up the default search engine.
  3. Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
  4. In WordPress go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
  5. Open SearchWP, Algorithm, click Sources & Settings on the Default engine, make sure Products is ticked, click Done, then Save and Rebuild Index if asked.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original file?

Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.

Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?

Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.

How do I install it?

Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.

How do updates work?

When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.

Can I use it on more than one site?

Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.

What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?

Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
