About this product
WooCommerce Gravity Forms Product Add-Ons 3.8.6 puts a form you build in Gravity Forms on a WooCommerce product page, so the customer answers your questions before the item goes into the cart. It's for stores whose products need more input than a variation dropdown can collect, such as a build-your-own pizza or a donation where the buyer sets the amount. When the price depends on the answers, the form's pricing fields work it out, and the order keeps the answers so you know what to make.
What's in the WooCommerce Gravity Forms Product Add-Ons download
Our download is the original WooCommerce Gravity Forms Product Add-Ons ZIP for version 3.8.6, with the license key already activated. The extension uses the forms you build in Gravity Forms, which is sold separately and isn't part of this file. WooCommerce Subscriptions, WooCommerce Bookings and WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing aren't included either. It works alongside them if you run them, and the Enable Dynamic Pricing setting only appears while Dynamic Pricing is active.
Good to know
You need WooCommerce 9.2 or newer, WordPress 6.5 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. It's also an add-on for the paid Gravity Forms plugin: any license level works, and the extension lists it as a required plugin, so install it first. The form only shows when the product's Regular Price has a value, so enter a price or 0. The docs also say AJAX-enabled forms aren't supported, priced choices must use the Option field types, and the Gravity Forms Partial Entries add-on doesn't work with it.
How to install WooCommerce Gravity Forms Product Add-Ons
- If your site doesn't run WooCommerce yet, install and activate it first under Plugins, Add New Plugin.
- Install and activate Gravity Forms, then build your product's form under Forms with a Product field and a Total field.
- Log in to GPLGuide, open this product and click Download under Your downloads.
- Go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
- There's no settings page. Edit a product under Products, give Regular Price a value and select your form on the product edit screen.
Features & capabilities
- Attach a Gravity Form to simple, variable and subscription products, or bookable ones with WooCommerce Bookings.
- The price updates live as customers pick priced options, with your own text before and after it.
- Different answers become separate cart lines, and identical ones merge with a higher quantity.
- Form answers show on the admin order screen, in order emails and in the customer's My Account area.
- Every order line links to its own Gravity Forms entry, and the entry links back to the order.
- Customers can reopen a cart item with their answers filled in, and reorders bring the form data back.
- A form quantity field can set the cart quantity or the stock reduced when the order is placed.
- Gravity Forms notifications stay off during add to cart and can be sent per product once the order exists.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the original file?
Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.
Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?
Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.
How do I install it?
Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.
How do updates work?
When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.
Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.
What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?
Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
