About this product
WooCommerce Memberships 1.30.1 turns a WooCommerce store into a membership site, where paying or invited members get content, products and prices that other visitors don't. It is for shops and publishers who sell access rather than single items: members-only articles, courses or downloads, wholesale or VIP pricing, or a club that comes with a product purchase. Plans live apart from your products, so one purchase can grant access, several products can lead to the same plan, or you can add members by hand for an invite-only area.
What's in the WooCommerce Memberships download
Our download is the original WooCommerce Memberships ZIP for version 1.30.1, with the license key already activated. The plugin includes the member directory block and shortcode and the member role settings, which used to be separate add-ons. Recurring billing needs WooCommerce Subscriptions, and selling one membership to a whole group needs Teams for WooCommerce Memberships. Both are separate products and are not in this file.
Good to know
You need WooCommerce 3.9.4 or newer, WordPress 5.6 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. Plain permalinks are not supported, and the docs ask for a city based timezone under Settings, General instead of a UTC offset, or drip schedules can go wrong. Membership emails stay off until you enable them under WooCommerce, Settings, Emails. Caching plugins can make restrictions look broken, and the products that grant access must stay buyable for non-members, or expired members can't renew.
How to install WooCommerce Memberships

- In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
- Under WooCommerce, Settings, Memberships, pick a restriction mode: Hide completely, Hide content only or Redirect to page.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the original file?
Yes. Every product on GPLGuide is the developer’s own release, unchanged. The license key comes already activated. If a product does ask for a key, the activation steps appear on its page once you have it.
Is it legal to use a GPL plugin or theme from GPLGuide?
Yes. WordPress plugins and themes are released under the GPL, which lets anyone use, share and change the code. The developer’s support desk and the developer’s own update service are not part of the file; those stay with the developer.
How do I install it?
Log in, open the product page and click Download under Your downloads. For a plugin go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, then Install Now and Activate. For a theme go to Appearance, Themes, Add New Theme, Upload Theme.
How do updates work?
When a newer version is listed on GPLGuide, download it from the product page and upload it over the installed copy; WordPress offers to replace the old version. Updates are manual.
Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes. The GPL lets you use it on as many of your own sites as you like.
What if the file does not work or a newer version is out?
Tell us on the Request Item page or through Support. We check the file and add the newer version when we have it.
